7th February 2015, Completion day

We are arrived back in France to sign the paperwork on 6th February (our wedding anniversary!) and spent all day attacking the garden.  There was a freezing easterly wind and the only way to keep warm was to work.  John alternated between taking down the huge laurel hedge and the trimming a lovely boundary hedge made up of copper beech, oak, holly, ash, hawthorn and other unknown bushes!

I continued pruning fruit trees and clearing ivy, wisteria and honeysuckle from a roof.

Having attached the base of the ivy on my last visit I was able to clear away everything expect the ‘poodle pom-pom’;  ivy that is entangled in a rusty metal frame.
